Thinking about selling your own home, think again!

Every once in a while I run across someone who questions the value of a Real Estate agent. Recently I came across an interesting survey conducted by HomeGain. Basically, home sellers who use a Realtor are more successful and more satisfied that those who choose to sell their own homes. And, to prove it, click on to the attached article. Here are the stats from the Home Gain Survey:

  • 83 percent of homeowners say they used a Realtor to sell their homes vs. 17 percent who tried to sell it themselves.
  • 59 percent of homeownerswho used a Realtor were sucessful in selling their homes vs. 39 percent where successful selling  their own homes.
  • 88 percent of homeowners who successfully sold their homes using a Realtor AND 81 percent of those homeowners who tried to sell their own home said they would definately use a Realtor in the future.

Lastly,

  • 24 percent of For Sale By Owners eventually enlist the help of a professional Realtor to sell their home.
